• May someone who attended a shiur for years switch to another
shiur from which he will gain more if doing so will offend the
first maggid shiur?
• When must a visitor to the Kosel perform kriah? May someone
who wishes to avoid performing kriah delay visiting the Kosel
until Friday afternoon?
• Is It acceptable for a home or yeshivah to have a single
microwave that will be used for both milchig and fleishig food if
the food will always be covered well?
• If a sofer checked a pair of tefillin and declared them kosher but
it was later discovered that he made a mistake, is the person
who wore the tefillin considered to have fulfilled the mitzvah?
Rav Zev Smith, a renowned maggid shiur for Irgun Shiurei Torah,
Dirshu, and other prominent organizations, and Rabbi Dovid
Kaiser, an author of Torah works and a maggid shiur in halachah,
have teamed up once again to explore dozens of topics in
halachah.
These topics, carefully chosen for their importance, relevance,
and interest, are discussed clearly and comprehensively, so that
the answers to the above questions, and dozens more, become
crystallized for the reader. The second volume of the What's the
Halachah? On the Parshah series, this book has been arranged
according to the parshiyos hashavua of Sefer Bamidbar and Sefer
Devarim. As with the first volume, each chapter is introduced
with a captivating dvar Torah that connects the chapter's halachah
topic to that week's parshah.
What's the Halachah? On the Parshah does more than just teach
you practical halachah; it opens before you the vastness and
beauty of the world of halachah!
