Description

With a deep sense gratitude to Hashem, we are pleased to present the fifth and final volume of the Living Lessons Yahadus Curriculum!
This series contains an overview of every single mitzvah in the Torah!
The root of the word Mitzvah can also mean Tzavta - connection. If a simple person is asked to do something by a powerful, wise, and noble king, it is tremendous honor. It doesn't matter what the request is, the mere fact that he was approached by the king, and the king entrusted him with the request, is the greatest privilege, and fulfilling the request connects the simple person to the king in a way that would otherwise be impossible. Hashem's mitzvos are 613 opportunities to connect to Him by fulfilling His instructions. Every mitzvah we fulfill connects us to Him in the greatest way. This is one of the meanings of the mishnah - Sicar Mitzvah Mitzvah. The greatest reward for fulfilling a mitzvah is the resulting connection to Hashem.
Torah and mitzvos are our life, and each of Torah we learn and each mitzvah we do connects us to Hashem and reveals our part neshamah. Torah is for then, now, and forever. It is not something we study and then put away.
The Torah and mitzvos that most of us are familiar with-kashrus, Yamim Tovim, davening, the Aseres Hadibros, etc.-are just a small fraction of the Torah. There are many more mitzvos that we unfortunately cannot fulfill today practically, and many people are very unfamiliar with them. However, those mitzvos are still part of Hashem's Torah, and are His wisdom and instructions to us. Every single mitzvah contains important and relevant lessons that we can use every day of our life, even, and especially, to day.
Each mitzvah is so rich and has many more details than you can expect to learn in a curriculum of only five volumes. The goal of this curriculum is for you to learn the main details of each mitzvah and how it affects your life. Each unit will also have lots of other interesting information relating to the mitzvah, for example, some words of wisdom from Chazal, stories and biographies of Gedolei Yisrael, historical facts, and much more.
Just imagine, after learning this series, you will now know so much about every one of the 613 mitzvos. What a tremendous accomplishment!
