Description

The True Story of Romy Cohen, A Young Teen Who
Fought The Nazis and Saved Dozens of Jewish Families
Romi was 12 years old when the Holocaust devastated his hometown of Pressburg,
Czechoslovakia. With his cunning personality, Romi outsmarted the Nazis, saving
dozens of Jewish families from certain death. He supplied Jewish families in hiding
with money and false documents so that they were able to survive under the Nazi
regime. The Gestapo later caught Romi, but he managed to escape and join a
partisan platoon in Slovakia, where he fought amongst the partisans, inflicting heavy
casualties on the SS troops. At the war's end, Romi returned to his hometown to try
and find his family before emigrating to the USA to start a new life.
